Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
Welcome to Tedder Academy. By accessing or using our website at tedderacademy.com and the Tedder Academy application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Service Description
Tedder Academy is a personalized homeschool curriculum platform that uses artificial intelligence to generate age-appropriate lesson plans, worksheets, and educational content tailored to each student's learning level and progress.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to create a Tedder Academy account. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Children use the Service only through parent-managed student profiles.
3. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at hello@tedderacademy.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Free Trial
New accounts receive 6 free lesson generations at no cost and with no credit card required. After your free generations are used, a paid subscription is required to continue generating new curriculum content. You may still access previously generated content without a subscription.
5. Subscription Terms
- Billing: Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access to paid features until the end of that period.
- Price changes: We may adjust subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for personal and family educational purposes. You may not:
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit generated curriculum content.
- Use the Service to generate content for purposes other than homeschool education.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models or generation systems.
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service.
- Upload or transmit harmful content, malware, or any material that violates applicable laws.
7. Content & Intellectual Property
- Generated content: Curriculum and worksheets generated through the Service are provided for your personal educational use. You may print, share with family members, and use them in your homeschool program.
- Our platform: Tedder Academy retains all rights to the Service, including the curriculum generation system, user interface, design, and underlying technology.
- Your data: You retain ownership of the personal information and student data you provide. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably determine is harmful to the Service, other users, or Tedder Academy. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking such action, except in cases of severe or repeated abuse.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Generated curriculum content is intended as a supplementary educational resource and should not be considered a substitute for professional educational assessment.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tedder Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or educational outcomes. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Texas.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
